NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute, Silvassa has a distinction of having one of the best medical libraries of India. The mission of the library is to advance education, research and scholarship by meeting the information needs of its clients through high quality resources and services. The Library is having seating capacity of more than 700 students at a time. The library is equipped with latest ICT tools and technologies like E-Library section, Audio Visual Room, Conference room, Print Room and RFID Machine. The Library has free internet and Wi-Fi facility which will provide free full-text access to e-books and e-journals in the field of Health & Allied Sciences.
The library has a collection of more than Nine thousand five hundred books and National and international printed journals in various specialties.
With rapidly shifting paradigm from print to online, we are having separate E-Library section which is equipped with 10 Laptops and PCs and free internet and Wi-Fi facility. A large number of e-resources/databases are made available for students and faculty to access and download health and allied sciences literature. They can take Photocopy or scan their e-resources/databases in the separate Print Room section.
This serves the medical community by providing an extensive collection of information sources to support the faculty of medicine research, teaching and patients care missions. It also provides personal assistance to the faculty, staff and students who have difficulty or complex queries or simply need help finding and using the appropriate resources.
The Library has RFID machine for Quick and efficient circulation of the books. The RFID system automates the process of issue/return of the books and keeps record of transactions on a real time basis. The system also helps in keeping accurate circulation/inventory reports.
The library is fully Air-conditioned with separate AC rooms like Discussion rooms, AV rooms and conference rooms exclusively for students / Interns and faculty members. It also provides free Wi-Fi facility to students and staff members for accessing e-resources.
