to NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute and NAMO Hospital
NAMO Hospital, formerly Shri Vinoba Bhave Civil Hospital, is the largest multispecialty teaching hospital in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. Established in 1952 with only 45 beds, it has grown into a 650-bedded state-of-the-art medical facility, attached to the NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute.
Over the decades, the hospital has evolved into the region’s primary center for curative, preventive, and rehabilitative healthcare, serving local communities as well as patients from Gujarat and Maharashtra. It was rededicated in 1999 after major renovations and, in March 2025, reintroduced as NAMO Hospital — symbolizing advanced technology, medical excellence, and compassionate service.
As the teaching hospital of the NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute (est. 2019), NAMO Hospital offers hands-on training, live surgery demonstrations, and research opportunities for medical students.
The hospital is undergoing a two-phase upgrade:
